Love, fun and sun at Barley Wood, Somerset Wedding Photography

Guillemette and Jonathan, like many of our clients have been through the mill a little in planning this wedding. But they got there in the end and it was amazing!

The was v2, or maybe v3 of this French-English, Brexit-beating wedding, but they decided that they were going to proceed whatever crushing restrictions arose from COVID-19 and it paid off. It must have been sad for Gui, whose parents could not attend due to quarantine restrictions, but she was happy and smiling throughout and I’m sure will be looking forward to a time when they can celebrate more widely with everyone present.

With just 4 guests comprising of Jonathan’s parents and Emma and Rupert, witnesses extraordinaires, it was relaxed and very personal. The registrar did a brilliant job at making this a unique ceremony to fit a unique wedding, and Barley Wood was outstanding as always by providing Sunshine, canopies and Prosecco at the appropriate time.

Barley Wood is one of our partner venues and it was lovely as always to visit this gorgeous venue tucked away in the North Somerset countryside.

It’s one of those venues where I always find something that I have not featured before. This time it was the buttercup meadow, which made for some photos of them both that I know they will love. I got soaked in dew as this was late morning, but that’s fine. Incontinence is always a great look for a wedding photographer.

Here are some of my favourite shots of the day… enjoy…
